FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is there any cost or lease for placing vending machines at our location?2019-01-24T20:05:24+00:00

There is no lease or rental on the vending machines. Your only cost would be the electricity to operate the machines. All machines run from a standard 110v outlet. A refrigerated food or beverage machine uses about the same as a conventional refrigerator.

Can we receive a sales commission?2019-01-24T20:06:14+00:00

Yes. If you want to receive a commission I would increase the basic pricing quoted in our proposal. I can increase the cost of all, or selected products, by 5¢, 10¢, etc. which will generate your commission. This will then be paid to you monthly or quarterly by check attached to a detailed sales report.

How often do you refill the machines?2019-01-24T20:07:14+00:00

It depends on the sales volume of each particular location. It may be once a week, twice a week, or more often to meet demand.

What is your product pricing?2019-01-24T20:07:53+00:00

Because of the competitive nature of the vending business, I only provide pricing information in my proposal to you. Please call or email me and I will be happy to quote you.

Can we request what products you put in the machine?2019-01-24T20:09:27+00:00

Yes! I prefer to work with you on this. I will provide a planogram showing each and every selection of what we decide to offer in each machine before the machines are even installed.

Sometimes we like to provide our employees complimentary snacks and beverages for meetings or special events or holidays, etc. Can you provide us with our special requests?2019-01-24T20:10:07+00:00

Absolutely! I will be happy to fulfill your special food & beverage requests.

How soon will you respond if there is a problem?2019-01-24T20:10:51+00:00

I will get there as soon as possible, usually within a few hours. I’m available every afternoon for any unlikely issues that may occur.

We currently have a vending service that we’re not happy with. How do I go about making the switch without a disruption of service?2019-01-24T20:12:29+00:00

First check to see if your company has a contract with the current vending service. If so, there will likely be information about termination of services which you would then give notice per the instructions in your contract. Please note that many vending contracts have an automatic “self renewal clause” so it would be wise to check your contract as soon as possible in case the auto-renewal date is about to occur.

If there is no contract involved, then a 14 day termination notice is sufficient. I suggest communicating via fax or email as well as sending certified mail so that you have confirmation of receipt of the notice. In your termination letter ask them to confirm the date and time of equipment removal. A properly worded termination of service letter would sound like this:

In accordance with the cancellation terms in our agreement dated ______, I am writing to give you proper notice of termination of your vending services prior to the expiration date of the current term. The reason for cancellation is that we decided to go a new direction with our vending program. I would like to hear from you as soon as possible regarding the removal of your equipment by no later than _______. Early removal is welcome, however, I would appreciate a two weeks’ notice so that we may prepare for the new service.

Thank you for your service and best wishes for the future.

If you don’t hear back in a few days, call and inquire. Once you get a date and time let me know and I will schedule our equipment for delivery later in the day and thereby minimize the interruption of services.

Do you require a contract?2019-01-24T20:13:13+00:00

For small clients, I do not require a written agreement; it’s simply month-to-month services. For large clients that require many pieces of equipment, I offer a 90 day introductory period without an agreement. After the 90 day period I will then ask for a written agreement.

We are not interested in having any vending equipment installed at our location; however, we would like deliveries of food & beverage items on a regular basis. Do you offer this type of service?2019-01-24T20:13:55+00:00

Yes! I currently have several clients with this kind of arrangement. With this service we would meet and you would decide exactly what products, how much and how often you want them delivered. I offer very competitive pricing for this service.
